Amazonia is a special destination, which requires special preparation. Here you will find the essential information for your upcoming stay. Our tips & answers to your questions are a testament of  our dedication to making your stay both extraordinary and ecologically conscious.

Activity schedule = Your booking will receive its very own, private guide with whom you decide and execute 100% of the activities listed in our activity portfolio - see flyer and/or ask for our detailed activity book.

The private appointed guide to each booking is hired for full days/nights, hence all guests arriving at our visitor centre after midday will receive said guide on the morning of the second day of visit; even so and in case the arriving guests would like to undertake an activity already on the first day´s afternoon (If they arrive before 16:00° and an activity on said first day after supper, we will designate an available guide or volunteer who will consolidate all guests arriving on said first day and undertake with them a short activity prior to supper and one activity after said supper.

Each activity may be undertaken as long as you wish, you can repeat each as wished, day and/or night, all included in our rate (Except the “Canopy” activities), also the required equipment and items needed in order to conveniently execute them – meaning, no extra charge.

Yes, we provide our guests with some amenities, such as our exclusive eco-soap, eco-shampoo, eco-hair conditioner and eco-insect-repellent, all of which we offer free of charge to our guests and we prohibit all other shampoos, soaps and insect repellents to be brought from abroad.

Of course, we are prepared and take in consideration vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians as well as allergies suffered by guests and will try to fulfil any and all desires in respect to our menu, all which can be mentioned to and agreed upon with our chef.

If you need to cancel your booking the relevant reimbursement will apply only in respect to amounts already having been received and based on the following policy:

-Reimbursement of 85% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 30 days prior to initiating your visit.

- Reimbursement of 50% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 15 days prior to initiating your visit.

-Reimbursement of 25% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 2 days prior to initiating your visit.

No reimbursement shall be granted for “no show” visitors (guests not being present on the day their visit initiates) as well as for guests leaving the Reserva Natural Palmari on any earlier date than the actual booked date of departure.

Normally we provide constant electricity (24/7) but if the state-provided service is interrupted, we provide electricity between 18:00° and 21:00° provided by our own diesel generator; the connecting sockets are according to the colombian standard (See enclosed image), enough of them provided in the social/restaurant/information area at our visitor centre.

The final pending amount to be paid will be collected by our staff in Leticia upon your arrival and prior to your departure to our visitors centre from Leticia, process that can be handled either in CASH (Any currency COP, BRL, USD, EUR or GBP) or by any CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD (The amount in any quoted foreign currency must be converted into COP currency to be accepted by the local card reading device! This process will not add any additional cost, fee or other on our behalf).

The Reserva Natural Palmari acknowledges the right to enjoy a good rest as to our stfff and volunteers, which is why in the early hours prior to breakfast and in the late hours after supper the activities will be executed by one guide and volunteer designated by rotation, both who will guide and accompany said activity consolidating all interested guests of the various bookings; in the same line of thought and supporting the education of our staff, we extend this scenario to our adult staff that attends the night lessons shift in the school in the community but we clarify that no guest/booking will remain without appropriate guidance.

Make sure to bring your personal medications, prophylactical medication for “Malaria / Paludism” if to be used or not is a purely personal decision and as to compulsory vaccination until now none is requested, not even the yellow fever vaccination is legally required for entering into Brazil anymore.

In order not to spend any night in Leticia, we strongly advise to book a flight reaching Leticia not later than 14:00° and a flight departing from Leticia not earlier than 12:00°.

Our guides are local people from the neighbouring communities, hence they speak only spanish and portuguese but are best suited as to knowing the region, finding and showing you wildlife and assuring a much better experience than being served by a foreign person; further, in order to assist you as to comprehension, communication and obtaining accurate information, we run an “Internship – Volunteering” project, through which we grant each booking that does not contain any spanish/ portuguese speaking guest with one of the volunteers, who will be assisting, translating and accompanying you on a 24/7 basis throughout your entire visit, free of charge but we kindly ask you to always consider a generous tip for the volunteer and the appointed guide.

No, sorry, but we do not lend or rent binoculars, bird spotting-scopes, photographic cameras, telescopes as well as sport fishing rods, reels, lures or any other gear of that sort.

Yes, you may leave luggage or not needed other things securely at the offices of our out-sourced representing agency in Leticia; just let them know upon meeting them, so they can include a stop-over at their offices  during the transfer to the riverine transport conveyance which will take you to our visitor centre.

Be aware that our packages “A” and “B” (Communal accommodation in our “enramada” or “maloca”) provide transport by means of various private and public conveyances, such as cars, taxis, motorcycles and boats, en-route having various points of transfer assisted and controlled by our personnel (duly uniformed) but not accompanying during some of the partial legs, this resulting from the intention to grant you the cheapest rate possible. This said, it becomes obvious that is necessary that you travel with one backpack plus one “day-pack” only, avoiding suitcases or any other different bulky piece of luggage and we clarify that you may leave excess luggage and items in a safe deposit at the offices of the “SelvAventura” agency in Leticia prior to being transferred to our visitors centre.

The only money in cash you might need – and you can bring any currency COP, BRL, USD, GBP or EUR – would be for tipping any of our staff or volunteers, paying for items from our in-house handicrafts & local products & merchandizing shop and for the “canopy” activity if you decide to undertake it, this last quoted, organized, scheduled, to be paid to and executed by a separate service provider (reachable through cel-phone/mobile & “whatsapp” at 57-312-8036931).

(3) We send you all needed info & data & transfer instructions so you can wire the funds from your bank account through a “SWIFT” international bank transfer to our colombian bank account.

(4) If you have a colombian bank account, we prepare and send you an on-line “LYRA / PAY-ZEN” payment link that allows you to easily transfer the funds through the local “PSE” secure transfer process.

Transfer processes IN & OUT = We clarify that we reserve our right to consolidate various reservations into ONE logistics process of transport per day – IN or OUT – all visitors being sent from Leticia/Tabatinga to our visitor centre or back from it by the same public and/or private transport conveyances; sailing schedule regarding the transfer TO our visitors centre is coordinated, decided and informed by our out-sourced representing agency in Leticia (contact info granted in the relevant service voucher) and the sailing schedule regarding the transfer FROM our visitor centre is coordinated, decided and informed by our administrator at the visitors centre.

Two different airlines fly to Leticia/COLOMBIA = The AVIANCA airline (www.avianca.com), as well as the LATAM airline (www.latam.com)

One airline flies to Tabatinga/BRAZIL = The AZUL airline (www.voeazul.com.br)

Travelling from Iquitos/PERÚ can only be done by fast boat or cargo vessel to Santa Rosa/PERÚ located on an island in front of Leticia.

Yes, we have a certain stock of rubber boots / wellies at our visitors centre, from which you can borrow a pair free of any cost, but it might happen that your specific size has already been borrowed by another guest, hence we might suggest that you buy a pair of cheap ones at the river port in Leticia / Tabatinga, further after using them and if you do not want to carry them during the rest of your trip, just leave them at our visitors centre as a donation, handing them to one of our volunteers and instructing him to add them to our stock.
