Offering advantages such as a wide look-out tower above the level of the canopy offering breathtaking 360° views of the river, beaches, forests and passing wildlife, electricity and fast “Internet” connectivity as well as having based the construction of the infrastructure and stock of bed & hammock clothing, appliances and all items with views to size, ergonomics and likes of our mostly foreign guests has resulted in being rated as the best destination not only regarding the relation cost = quality, but surpassing the expectations and dreams of our clients, not only in respect to comfort and resting, but also catering: our menu has been designed combining brazilian, peruvian and colombian recipes adapted to international cuisine and integrating local fresh products, styles and food-preparing processes of the region but also being able to cater to our vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian guests and further respecting allergies and other specific needs of them. Granting each booking with its own very own, private guide he will design a “tailor made” activity schedule in respect to your dreams, desires and interests, further being a member of the local community he will know the forests and waterbodies better than any person from abroad. While you’re with us, have many adventurous experiences led by one of our specialized guides. Whether it’s kayaking through the flooded forest or lounging on the beach with a cool drink, enjoy zillions of multi-coloured birds, visit neighbouring communities, believe your eyes when seeing maybe the oldest and largest kapok tree, invert the usual routine by catching piranhas instead of being caught by them, have fun with our paddle boards & wakeboard & kneeboard, observe and dive into the water with both pink & grey river dolphins, get a tattoo, spend a night or various in a hammock deep in virgin, pristine forest, observe, follow and photograph a huge variety of wildlife as well as many, many other undertakings and ways to experience the wonderful amazonian environment – have a glimpse at only a few images of each of the activities in our portfolio.
Your booking will receive its very own, private guide with whom you decide and execute 100% of the activities listed in our activity portfolio (see flier and/or ask for our detailed activity book); each activity may be undertaken as long as you wish, you can repeat each as wished, day and/or night, all included in our rate, also the required equipment and items needed in order to conveniently execute them – meaning, no extra charge.
Our guides are local people from the neighbouring communities, hence they speak only spanish and portuguese but are best suited as to knowing the region, finding and showing you wildlife and assuring a much better experience than being served by a foreign person; further, in order to assist you as to comprehension, communication and obtaining accurate information, we run an “Internship – Volunteering” project, through which we grant each booking that does not contain any spanish/portuguese speaking guest with one of the volunteers, who will be assisting, translating and accompanying you on a 24/7 basis throughout your entire visit, free of charge but we kindly ask you to always consider a generous tip for the volunteer and the appointed guide.
The private appointed guide to each booking is hired for full days/nights, hence all guests arriving at our visitors centre after mid-day will receive said guide on the morning of the second day of visit; even so and in case the arriving guests would like to undertake an activity already on the first day´s afternoon (If they arrive before 1600°) and an activity on said first day after supper, we will designate an available guide or volunteer who will consolidate all guests arriving on said first day and undertake with them a short activity prior to supper and one activity after said supper.
There are only two activities which are not included in the rate:
– “Canopying” activities, offered, served & charged by an outsourced service provider
– Visit to the semi-indigenous communities outside the Atalaia do Norte village

Policy of the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator regarding the cancellation of a reservation:
If you need to cancel your booking the relevant reimbursement will apply only in respect to amounts already having been received and based on the following policy:
-Reimbursement of 85% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 30 days prior to initiating your visit.
– Reimbursement of 50% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 15 days prior to initiating your visit.
-Reimbursement of 25% of the received amount if your cancelation reaches us latest 2 days prior to initiating your visit.
No reimbursement shall be granted for “no show” visitors (guests not being present on the day their visit initiates) as well as for guests leaving the Reserva Natural Palmari on any earlier date than the actual booked date of departure.
Policy of the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator regarding guests that wish to leave earlier than the initially contracted time of stay:
Visitors, which decide to shorten their stay at the Reserva Natural Palmari for any reason whatsoever will be transferred to Tabatinga/Leticia only if a river transport conveyance has been priorly scheduled for that specific day of leave and if it holds enough space for these additional visitors. Otherwise, the Reserva Natural Palmari will transport these visitors to the Atalaia do Norte village from where they can contract their further transportation on their own account and risk to Tabatinga/Leticia by means of secure transport conveyances recommended by our staff.
Policy regarding transportation to & from our visitors centre:
In compliance with basic ecological preservation of the environment as well as minimizing our impact on nature regarding fuel consumption, pollution created by engines and transport conveyances and similar, we reserve our right to consolidate various reservations into ONE logistics process of transport per day – IN or OUT – all visitors being sent from Leticia/Tabatinga to our visitors centre or back from it by the same public and/or private transport conveyances, combining both private and public transport conveyances.
Policy regarding transportation and luggage in respect to our “backpacker” guests contracting in one of our two communal accommodation options:
Be aware that our packages “A” and “B” (Communal accommodation in our “enramada” or “maloca”) provide combined transport by means of various private and public conveyances, such as cars, taxis, motorcycles and boats, en-route having various points of transfer assisted and controlled by our personnel (duly uniformed) but not accompanying during some of the partial legs, this resulting from the intention to grant you the cheapest rate possible and minimizing the “eco footprint” in respect to fuel consumption and contamination by engines. This said, it becomes obvious that is necessary that you travel with one backpack plus one “day-pack” only, avoiding suitcases or any other different bulky piece of luggage and we clarify that you may leave excess luggage and items in a safe deposit at the offices of our outsourced, representative agency in Leticia prior to being transferred to our visitors centre.
Policy regarding transportation during the low water season and the need of adapting to “global warming” affecting the riverine water levels:
During certain periods of the year and with the intention of maintaining the transit time to & from our visitors as short as possible, further trying to minimize the “eco footprint” in respect to fuel consumption and contamination by out-board engines, we have learned that transportation combining transport by means of various private and public conveyances, such as cars, taxis, motorcycles and boats are the best option, resulting en-route in various points of transfer, but of course assisted and controlled by our uniformed and well recognizable staff.
Policy of the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator regarding cancellation of flights:
Should any airline cancel the flight of an incoming guest, the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator will move the relevant reservation forward, as far into the future as needed and considering not to affect other future reservations, further trying hard, very hard to avoid any additional costs and expenses to our guests.
Should any airline cancel the flight of an outgoing guest, the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator will add the needed days/nights of stay upon request of the affected visitor as far into the future as needed and considering not to affect other future reservations, further trying hard, very hard to avoid any additional costs and expenses to our guests.
Should any airline cancel the flight of an incoming/outgoing guest, the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator will not sign responsible economically or for any circumstance whatsoever that might arise from said cancellation and the guest must claim and handle all relevant issues with the airline, directly.
Policy of the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator and the Reserva Natural Palmari regarding loss/theft/pilferage:
The Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator and the Reserva Natural Palmari will not accept any responsibility and will not reimburse any expense related to any loss/theft/pilferage or similar of personal objects belonging, valuables, money, private documents or gear of any kind to our guests which have not been deposited upon arrival in our secure cupboard in our administrator´s office.
Policy of the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator and the Reserva Natural Palmari regarding accidents, health, sickness and death:
The Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator and the Reserva Natural Palmari will report correctly supported claims regarding accidents, health and death scenarios and assist as intermediary between the affected party and our insurance company, this only for situations that arise during the stay of the affected guest and not claims having arisen prior or after the contracted stay.
Any service/topic/request/issue/claim not included in the present text, our quotation, service description, service voucher and web page in general is to be understood as not integrated/not included in the services rendered by the Grupo Travesías S.A.S. agency/tour-operator and the Reserva Natural Palmari.
